New iTrak based direct sealer combines Relco latest induction sealing technologies into a compact and versatile machine
- Newly developed iTrak based direct induction sealer
- Pick, place & induction weld closure directly onto bottle
- Seals bottles at speed up to 120 per minute
- Continuous motion with direct hook-up to filler discharge
Watford, 22 March 2018 – Relco UK, a worldwide leader in induction sealing and the world’s largest manufacturer of direct induction sealing machines and components. Have introduced yet another impressive addition to their induction sealer line-up, the FSY-5000.
Relco’s unmatched innovation within direct induction sealing is at the forefront with the new FSY-5000 which we designed and custom-manufactured for Valvoline. This machine features Rockwell’s iTRAK pitchless technology, which combines cap feeding, placement and induction welding in one machine. The FSY-5000 speed and acceleration are significantly higher than the traditional linear indexing sealers. While continuous linear motion provides significantly less disturbance of the bottle and its content when compared to more traditional arrangements. Yet we have designed the FSY-5000 with fewer moving parts than conventional systems. Movers are rigidly connected to the structure and durable bearings and guide rails significantly reduce maintenance cost.
“We are continually pushing to deliver more for our customers – more versatility, more functionality and most importantly, more value,” said Mark Gill, Director of Relco. “With the new FSY-5000, we’ve taken many of our newest and most advanced induction technologies from the acclaimed FCS models and paired them with an all-new iTrak linear drive system to deliver the ultimate direct induction sealer for advanced BAP closure systems. Combined with our advanced custom designed sealing head and generator. Our FSY provide level of performance that is simply unmatched in the industry.”
Spectacular BAP closures bring a better consumer experience
Aptar’s BAP® closure (Bonded Aluminium to Plastic) technology, uses an aluminium liner to permanently weld the closure to the container. The bottle neck finish is optimally designed without the use of traditional threads. Allowing for an eye-catching lower profile closure and material savings. In addition, BAP allowed for the incorporation of a swooping brand design that could not have been achieved with a threaded solution.
Superior sealing performance that offers leak-proof security during transport, allowing the package to pass the most rigorous ISTA e-commerce requirements. Including changes in air pressure, drop test and packaging inversion, among others. Improved security thanks to an integrated tamper evident pull-ring for consumer assurance. The full package liner is counterfeit deterrent.
